That is the case for now but Tennessee, UGA, and Florida won't be down forever.

Missouri --- easily

Texas A&M is in the west and I am not confident in their new HC. His passing game mentality might have worked when the SEC defenses had not developed strategies to deal with the passing game.

Missouri's recruiting has been atrocious in 2011 and so far in 2012. I suspect they get worst before they get better. TA&M is to 10 this year and has been in the top 30 over the last few years. The might catch Bama and LSU in an off year in 3-4 yrs. I'd go with the Aggies. They have better facilities anyway than Mizzou (I think that's right).

Mizzou if they do it in the next couple of years. Otherwise, neither.

aTm. It may take them awhile, but they are a good program. In time (and in the SEC) they will become great (I think I just vomited a little).

2012: 49th
2011: 48th 8-5
2010: 21st 10-3
2009: 40th 8-5
2008: 25th
2007: 33rd

They've done pretty well with those rankings.

OTOH, Tennessee:

2012: 11th
2011: 13th 5-7
2010: 9th 6-7
2009: 10th 7-6
2008: 35th
2007: 3rd

Missouri if they can get it done in the next 3-4 years. aTm is in the West & I just don't think they are ready to get thru the gauntlet of LSU, bama, arky, & the occassionally pesky msu.

This.

Florida and UGA will be back. I don't know if Tenn ever will, at least not the extent they were in the 90's. Bama and LSU will have down years. The cycle will repeat itself like it always has.

There is certainly some validity to this. However, Mizzou does pretty well with under-rated recruits. It is eye-opening looking at the number of 4*'s some of these programs have, but we send as many boys to the NFL has half the SEC teams.

Mizzou needs to step up big time in stadium renovation. I'd prefer we either get rid of the rocks or at least make the visitors sit there.

As to the original question, Mizzou seems to have the easier path in the near future like others have stated. A$M has everything in place to succeed, they just haven't been able to do so. I think they are over-rated as a program but they really do have a great fanbase.

Mizzou goes first but I wouldn't bet money on that.

It won't be easier in 3-4 years. But now, yea Mizzou has the easier path. Better do it soon though or it may never happen.

Welcome to the SEC.

There is no way a team with 3* athletes only is going to compete well in this league. You're going to have recruit in the top 25 at worst for 2-3 years before you'll win more than 50% of your SEC games. Granted you can do a lot of shi* with just a great QB and some fast receivers but it won't hold up over time if that's all you got.
