Bad weather check-in and discussion thread

It seems the weather channels are eerily certain that we are going to see some tornadoes tonight across Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
I usually don't read much into these, but everything I've heard about this afternoon/tonight makes it seem like this is going to be pretty bad.
As much as I pretend to hate everybody in this forum, I still want everybody to be safe.

I'm pretty sure it will just be a light sprinkling.

We're supposed to get it bad in Memphis.

Yeah I said that back in April. Think how dumb I feel now.

these severe T-storms are arriving just in time to mess up my signal during the playoffs. Might get a lot of fapping in today.

I'm not sure which is worse, the looming threat of tornadoes or perpetual darkness mixed with frequent blizzards.

Let me know if it gets bad and how much time I've got so that I can run to the krogers for some milk sandwich ingredients.

We have about 7 hours of daylight right now. It's beautiful outside. Warmed up, probably about 30 degrees, no wind.

That sounds awful. If it has to "warm up" to 30, I'm moving away.

You live in Juneau? I love Alaska! We spend 10 days in the Kenai every summer. The people who own the cabin we stay in say they have had a lot of snowfall this year.

You get used to it. IN Jan, 30 feels mild. Helped a friend move yesterday and didn't need a jacket

I bet Alaska is amazing if you are really into the outdoors. I would love to visit in the late spring/summer when everything thaws. I bet all the greenery, the mountains, and the streams/springs are really beautiful.

I just prefer a much milder winter.

Valdez has had 30 feet of snow this year already.
They are used to it, snowiest city in the US, maybe the world.

I'd have to walk around with a portable generator to power all the electric blankets I have layered on myself.
