If we can squeeze out 2 wins in that stretch we could possibly win out and go 19-11. Depending on how we do in the SEC tourny, maybe, just maybe, we may slip in.

Bama went 12-4 in the SEC and won the West last year. Didn't get in. LSU isn't getting in with 11 losses.

Going off last year is stupid. SEC ball as a whole was terrible.

The SEC is much better and deeper this season. 6 maybe 7 teams could have a shot at the NCAAs this year. If a team wins 10-12 games in conference play, they make the tourney.

Having said that, I don't think LSU is good enough to make the tourney. They don't have the leadership at the top IMO.

Look at your RPI and SOS and look at Ole Miss'. Ole Miss is better in every category.

I think 9-7 and a SEC tourney win or two gets a team in the dance.

that stuff will fluctuate between now and march. they have def. played a tougher schedule to this point mostly based on playing weaker teams from power conferences (miami, depaul). we beat them by like 30 the other day without o'bryant and white on the bench. they have a couple nice wins in the sec over state and arky but what is their key OOC win? da u?

point being, i dont think either of us gets in

Miami?

They have a very high strength of schedule LSU doesn't.

Ole Miss RPI 32
LSU 71

LSU has some bad losses as well such as Coastal Carolina and South Alabama Ole Miss' worst loss is Auburn

The Lunardi bracket makes no sense to me. Fla a 4 seed Vandy who is not ranked a 5 seed. State ranked #16 in the country and yet is a fricking 8 seed? Makes no sense whats so ever!

In his chat he talked about how bracketologist don't look at rankings. They just look at wins and RPI and SOS. I still don't know why MSU wouldn't be a 6 seed or better though.

Two points:

1 - rankings don't matter that much in college basketball, probably way down the list of something the selectors would even look at.

2 - this is probably where he thinks teams will end up as of now so he is projecting the rest of the season, not just a snapshot of how things are right now.
