13 years is a bit extreme, IMO. He should face some jail time, but not that much.

A Presidential candidate could curry some votes with a promise of pardons to a couple of guys in state.

13 years? For what property destruction? Yes it means a lot to a lot of people down there, but...so do people's houses and I've heard of straight up arson getting less time than that. Not to mention manslaughter, etc.

Seems like they're trying to make an example out of him because it has to do with football.
