I'm 61 and the only time in my life I ever saw Alabama give up was under Mike Shulas watch. He was a coward and his teams saw that. They privately questioned his decisions and leadership. He was a players coach like Miles but he didn't have the backbone to be the headcoach at Alabama. I don't think Miles is sharp enough be the best and the top recruits want to be the best. If they sense their coach isn't the best that's when the real trouble begins. Bobby Hebert was right to question Miles decisions. I think the kids know that.
