He's a great coach. Easily the best we've had since 1982, with apologies to Gene Stallings. He helped REBUILD Alabama. We were pretty damn good before he even thought about working at a gas station in West Virginia.
Not that Les Miles has to prove anything to me, but I was a doubter before he put the run together of the past year. I think any LSU fan would be lying if they said they were 100% sure of him after the UT game last year. He's a little goofy, but entertaining, which is pefect for you crazy people.
I think the accomplishment of two programs is being overshadowed by all the rematch, BCS got it wrong, AP Poll, and other bull. These are two great programs, one of which (LSU) is on one of the best runs in SEC history since 2000.
I will say this though. I think LSU has put together the best season in the BCS era, and regardless of what Vegas is saying, Bama is an underdog.
BUT......
If Nick Saban can pull off what is currently happening on the recruiting board and then somehow beat LSU in NOLA on Monday night this place will blow up with Nick Saban love.
And not from Bammers

Will this mean he gets another statue or just an alter to go with the one he already has?

Would Bama fans be lying if they said they were 100% sure of Saban after the worst choke job in recent history against Auburn last year?

Oh brother.
If LSU wins Mon night, a lot of Bammers will be blowing up Finebaum bitching about Saban and how Miles owns him. With all those #1 recruiting classes and an easy schedule this year, Bammers expected a NC.

Isn't Bama a one point favorite in the game? And it seems like some of the bettors are more high on Alabama than on 11/5. Six of the thirteen Experts Picks for Covers has Alabama winning the game. It was a much wider disparity for LSU before the 11/5 game. LINK

You mean landing a recruit from Louisiana because he wants to follow a piece of arse to another school? Don't get me wrong, Saban is an amazing recruiter, but Collins decision is based solely on his dick if he goes to Bama. Besides, LSU hasn't won any recruiting championships under Miles but he has still managed a 5-2 record against Bama and 3-2 against Saban. Could it be that he's a better coach? Or better at evaluating talent?

About the same feeling in 2000 when Saban arrived.......
