...in one of the big leagues? I'm talking NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL.

Your honest opinion, no flames, (we'll see how that works lol) and which sport do you think would have the best shot at making it?

And feel free to add another sport not listed, like Soccer or Lingerie football.

Nope. The only city big enough to support a team is Birmingham and I think they are too close to Atlanta and Nashville. Also, the city of Birmingham is bankrupt.

We could, yeah, but that would require taking away from college football. And I certainly don't want that to happen.

I ask because Alabama is the largest state in the union without a professional team in the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL.

At some point you'd think it would become inevitable.

Another football team to steal spotlight from the alabama and auburn football programs?

Yeah, I'm sure that would work out just fine

This. As long as the crooks are in control of Birmingham it will stay a corrupt, bankrupt, dump. Birmingham is trash.

I don't think any of the SEC states would. Florida can't really, but for different reasons (most residents weren't born there).

NHL? WTF? There are way too many NHL teams in warm weather cities that doesn't care about hockey. Why would hockey add another one? I think MLS is a pretty realistic possibility though.

Birmingham just declared bankruptcy. We'll never get a pro team without a pro stadium, and we're never getting that without a different sort of politician in Bham.
