I understand that the Rusty Nail on Constance Street will be the best place to watch the game for Bama fans who don't have tickets. Can others share any experiences they may have about this bar. From all I've heard, the place will likely be packed and will need to get there several hours before the game.

It is the Bama bar in New Orleans. I personally like the place and the owner is a nice guy.

Thanks. That's what I've heard. It's only about 6 blocks from where we are staying so hopefully will be a good choice.

they have stadium style seating inside for games, as well as a large courtyard with TV's. might be tough to get a good seat inside on gameday, but there is plenty of room outside (heaters as well)

A Rusty Nail is my favorite after dinner drink. They're pretty good before too. Course you don't want to have too many of 'um without a beer spacer in between. Please come by after the game and I'll treat you to one. I'll be wearing red.

Rusty Nail will be slammed on game day and even with the courtyard it's not that big.

It's a good bar (The Rusty Nail). I was there for Nov. 5th and a bunch of LSU fans came there of course trying to be dicks. In this town they could go to any/every other bar to be amongst LSU fans, they just wanted to be annoying.

They'll do the same this go 'round as well - so get there early.

Rusty will be crazy packed. Every bar that's just a hole in wall will prolly bring in a huge wide screen for this game. You can't go wrong anywhere. I remember in 03, I went to Fat Harry's on St. Charles and had a blast with the fat OU fans

Rusty Nail and the vacant lot nearby have been staked down by several Tuscaloosa bars and businesses.

I think Innisfree is the main one, but there are others are sponsoring RMFT NOLA. Look it up.

It's a great place, but it will likely be entirely to packed for you to enjoy yourself. The local Alumni Association is reserving tables for members, who will be out in force, along with a contigent of LSU locals who go there regualrly. I would advise you and your friends to just find a dive bar and take it over.

A girl I know who works at walk ons says espn rented it out for the BCS championship game. I'm assuming people will still be able to go in and eat and watch the game but I'd be careful if that your first choice.

Rusty Nail is a cool atmosphere for all of you gumps. But the place isn't that big and it will be slammed for the Game.

And anyone thinking of trying Walk On's, don't even bother. It is my favorite place to watch a game in NOLA, but on gameday for the first game, I got there at 930 and got the last available table for the game. Corndogs were offering us hundreds of dollars for it. This game will be infinitely worse.

I haven't heard definitively yet, but I am guessing that Lucy's will be showing the game outside on the projector screen. I watched the Saints super bowl win there and it was awesome. I would check this out.
