A lot of people are letting ESPN tell them what to think with this USCw hype. They got hit with a 30 scholarship penalty; that means no full recruiting class till 2015. Their strong finish this year doesn't change the fact that they're going to be severely undermanned for the near future.

No doubt Herbie and Co. will get them into the top 2 or 3 to start the '12 season, but there's no chance in hell they stay there.

Based on what?

USCw is absolutely loaded next year, and the only team that can beat them in the PAC is Oregon, who loses a lot from a team that lost to them THIS year at home. They aren't beating USCw at home in 2012.

USCw returns 9 starters on offense, including the top QB in college football next year (this year too imo) in Matt Barkley, along with Robert Woods and Marqise Lee. They lose one offensive lineman on a line that gave up 8 sacks all season and Curtis McNeal returns after a 1,000 yard rushing season 2nd in the PAC behind LJ.

They return 8 starters on defense, including every starting LB and Secondary member. They were so young on D this year.

USCw is getting a lot of hype, and they absolutely should be.

Someone might have mentioned this but it is not going to be more than a scratch on the arm. They were brilliant on how they handled it. Once they realized sanctions were coming they worked 2 years on preparation.

Over half of their roster are freshman. This will allow them not to drop under the 75 mark. They played 45-50 players most games this season to make this possible.
