By the Coach Rankings site:

Formula takes into account: Conference, BCS National Championships, Conference Championships, Coach Salary, Average Recruiting Rank, Average Football Revenue, Players Drafted, Stadium Size, and Stadium Attendance (% of Capacity). The purpose of this ranking it to have a fair and accurate comparison of all of the FBS jobs compared equally against common factors that typically make jobs more desirable than others. All data is since 2001.

Your opinion:

flawed opinion ranking is flawed. it includes data since 2001. This over-inflates schools like OSU & USC, while undervaluing teams like Bama & UGA.

You have to look at a job in two ways - 1) past history as in indication of future possibilities, and 2) current situation and how well you are set up for success.

A team that has recruited 4 straight top 5 classes, has more 1st rounders chosen the past 3 years than any other school in the country, plays in the SEC West, pays its coaches (HC & assts) among the best in the country, has 100K+ in the stands, and is playing for its 2nd BCS title in 3 years is a better job today than USC & OSU (who is going to have penalties soon).

Yep. I have a reading comprehension problem. Your agenda is transparent and obvious. It doesn't have Bama where you think Bama is entitled to be.

It has Bama at 6th. That's fine by me. I couldn't care less where some Bleacher Report equivalent site has Bama. It will cause me zero lost sleep. I was simply pointing out the flaws in their system in my opinion. Other people will have different opinions, I'm sure.

I am sure last year when the same site had LSU as the #8 job you disagreed with that. That is an opinion you were entitled to. Just as mine is one I'm entitled to. Again, Bama is playing for its 2nd BCS title in 3 years. 4 years ago they were a qtr away from playing for it. That, to me, is the mark of a great job. I think most agree. You'd rather flame and continue to be short sighted. No biggie. Agree to disagree here.
