Proud of the SEC Heavyweights

Last night, watching the Awards show, listening to the interviews, and watching the young men of Bama and LSU conduct themselves, I felt nothing but pride for the SEC, this rivalry, and the two programs. The men spoke well, conducted themselves with class under pressure in an unusual environment and with mics in their faces, and showed each other the kind of respect each competitive and talented team deserves. Miles and Saban gave each other respect and clapped for one another. The players of each side were baited to talk smacck about the upcoming game, but they just handled it perfectly from both sides. Kudos to Bama. Kudos to LSU. These teams literally stole the show least night in terms of awards with BAMA taking the Spirit, Outland, and Walker, and LSU taking the Bednarik, Home Depot, Broyles, and Thorpe. That kid Carson Tinker is my new hero. He is a young man with strength and wisdom beyond his years. He is what every parent hopes their young son will turn out to be, a gentleman. I realized last night that no matter what happens in NO, there are no losers on these two squads.

I noticed the same thing. I'm proud my team is a member of such a class conference. And every coach and player from the SEC last night conducted there selves with class, dignity, and humbleness.

Both teams were well represented, IMO.
I've been a Mo Claiborne fan for a while, but even more so after watching him last night.
Great group of kids from both LSU & UA!
A lot to be proud of, IMO.

AWESOME!!
And I agree.
I hope at the BEGINNING of the game (just before kickoff) that the entire stadium will do the S-E-C S-E-C chant.
At that point, BOTH fanbases will be happy and excited and the entire stadium has reason to be proud of both teams and its players.
I'd love to hear that echoing in the background as the talking heads are doing the intro before KO.
