You're an idiot. This makes 2 great defenses for him? Tenn. '98 and LSU '11.

You're an idiot. Chavis has been considered one of the best D coordinators for a while now. He had the 3rd best ranked D in the country in 2008 when Fulmer shite all over TN.

First, I'm ignoring the whole CHAVIS IS BETTER THEN SABAN LOL!!!! OMG!! point..

But at least at LSU, Chavis has done a remarkable job on defense since he's been here in 2009. In 2009 and 2010 LSU had one of the worst offenses in the modern SEC football era (thank you Crowton), but still managed 9 and 11 wins. With absolutley no help from a dreadful offense, Chavis' defenses have always stepped up their game.

In fact, a big reason why this defense is better is because the offense is actually competent and functional and can stay on the field. (Not counting the first half against UGA )

his 2001 D with john henderson and haynesworth was very good also. he has had other very good defenses as well. stop trying to marginalize the guys coaching abilities and results. look at his defensive rankings over the years. that is a better sign. guy can coach.
