Is the BCS corrupt?

Most people on the main board are saying this. With the way espn politicked for bama, I'm inclined to believe them. Why does a broadcasting machine like espn feel the need to pimp small town, backwoods america? I think it's because bama is all about college football. Period. No other state is as rural and preoccupied with the sport as bama and espn has a lot invested in it. The analysts who shamelessly used their positions to ultimately influence voters plotted this conspiracy on nov 5 when they witnessed the superbowl-like stage that bama presented, and from that point forward were doing bama's bidding. Guys like craig james and luginbill are rockstars in tuscaloosa but go unnoticed in ny and la. This is why bama got a rematch. Any honest, lucid bama fan has to at least wonder why the espn support was so passionate to the point where the Bedlam game was declared irrelevant even before it was played. Wasn't Ok #1 in the BCS at one point? Arky got BLOWN OUT twice only dropped to #6. makes me wanna take a bath

It is obvious. Boosters in the state of alabama got big money. Just like they paid for cam newton, they paid to get in the bcsnc!

There are so many things broken with the system but for now, deal with it for what it is.
Even if we had playoffs I wouldn't have any doubt that if Bama and LSU were on opposite sides of the brackets they would have probably be fighting each other in the championship game anyways.
We'll see though.
To be honest I don't see the logic in doing #1/#2 from a purely monetary standpoint on ABC's/ESPN's part if they are from the same conference. I don't think this game will be good for ratings, since what attractiveness does it provide for viewers on the West Coast or East Coast?

Yes it's corrupt. We paid off ESPN, the BCS, and the large majority of coaches. We outbid T Boone Pickens.

The worst part about it is how LSU has been used throughout this ordeal. The SEC got two teams in the championship which has NEVER been done before, all on account of what LSU has done, not bama. All bama did was manage to play LSU close in the most hostile environment imaginable and ride the perception created by the espn racket. We REALLY don't know how good the SEC is this year. Matter of fact, it sucks- outside of five teams, and bama only beat one of them back in september. But the computer rankings were virtually frozen, along with bama's position in the polls.

The computers didn't matter. If OSU was above us in all 6 computer rankings, they still didn't get the human votes they needed.
