Why I hope LSU/Bama plays Okie St/ Stanford

Let me start by saying I hope we play Bama in New Orleans. They are the only team that has a chance of beating us and are without a doubt the second best team in the country.
If for some reason, the rematch doesn't happen, I want the Tigers and Tide to play the Cowboys and Cardinals, doesn't matter who plays who. This desire comes from a disturbing comment thread on ESPN after November 5th. The rest of the country talks about what a snoozefest our game was and how a high-powered offense like Oklahoma, Okie Lite, or Stanford would throttle us by multiple scores.
I want those ignorant non-SEC fans to see that we really do reign supreme. If we destroyed them in BCSNCG and Sugar Bowl, it would finally show that we are better since we would destroy the top schools from the other top conferences.
Here's to a rematch.

And I'm saying LSU is better only because we won. Any realistic fan knows if we played 10 times, each team would win 5 times, give or take 1 game. We are exact copies of each other, with Bama being bigger/stronger, LSU being faster.

Unfortunately, if Bama doesn't get in the BCSCG, they are playing Houston. Yeah.

I'm praying that doesn't happen. 59-3 is not a good game. Houston would never be taken seriously again.

I feel the same way. If the rematch doesn't happen, I want LSU and Bama to dismantle some "exciting" offenses.

I think it is pretty much a done deal if Bama doesn't go to the BCSCG. It's got a little bit of 2009 Sugar Bowl written all over it (Bama thinking they could play in the BCSCG until last week of season and then getting a non-BCS Sugar Bowl matchup). Although I think Utah was a better team than Houston.

I don't get why America doesn't like defense. Everyone thought 9-6 was boring. I was there and it was the best game I've ever been to. Nothing better than watching two smashmouth teams lock each other down and make each other fight for every single yard.

So...
Florida's 2006 thrashing of Ohio State
LSU's 2-SEC loss 2007 team's shutdown of Ohio State
Florida's 2008 annihilation of Oklahoma's highest scoring offense of the universe ever
Alabama's shutdown of Texas in 2009
And Auburn holding the Oregon "blur" offense to 19 points.
None of these proved anything, it's up to yall now?

The fact that the rest of america doesn't understand this explains why they get destroyed by the SEC in the BCS games.

Amen.

Every year the talking heads admit the SEC is the best. Yet every year they retract the last 2 weeks of the season and say that someone else is better. When will they learn? Like a kid touching a hot stove not once but 30 times.

And this was probably the worst SEC defense that went to a national championship in the BCS era

So fricking annoying.

SEC is so far ahead.

Sadly, and despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, I do not believe that Bama or LSUs' dismantling of these "high-powered" offenses will make one wit of difference in what a large segment of the population--outside of the SEC--feels about our conference.
I live in Dallas. They are so convinced that the Texas teams are superior that I have never actually tried to engage any of these people in a conversation about college football. They simply are incapable of hearing it. I live in HELL. Get me the f--k out of here.
I'm crying now.

I liked that Bama fan's post better...the one that just wanted to hand us the title.
