1) Why is this somehow surprising to you?
2) How does this opinion make him a douche? There are other reasons that he is a douche, but that isn't one of them.

Anonymity on a message board has done wonders for your self esteem. Don't know if we get a rematch but if we are one of a sea of one loss teams I think Bama deserves one because it is about the two beat teams not conf champions or any other scenario you can come up with.

So you think Bama deserves it based on their achievements during the season, right?
Which of Alabamas wins outside of Arkansas were quality wins? Florida? Tenn? Penn St?

: Finebaum is the reason people like him should not re-produce

Who were Oklahoma's quality wins?
Who were Ok State's?

Quite honestly, I feel that it would be an insult to LSU for bama to be granted another shot at this game. LSU won under the worst possible conditions on the road and would be playing a team that sat at home while LSU fought to win the conference championship. Winning the conference championship has to mean something. How can we possibly know that bama is actually the second best team if no one else gets a shot? How can anyone want a rematch when they've already lost at home? I just don't understand the argument

Well BMY who has Oregon, ok or OK st beaten as well. Oregon beat a Stanford team that was horribly overrated and had played no one. Orgon got the same shot as Bama and lost by double digits. I would say considering we play in the best conf and have the least of the losses our body of work is equal to or better than any of theirs. Besides the ONLY reason LSU even wants a dog in this hunt is to pick an easier path to the NC because other than that yall really don't have a dog in this hunt. The only teams that should be arguing this are the teams with the same record. I get it I wouldn't want to play the only team that could beat us as well had we beaten LSU by a TD and yall dropped to three. I would be praying for another LSU loss so we could play another one of these "high powered offenses" that don't play a defense all yr.

And I really hate how bama sympathisers keep bringing up missed fgs as an argument. Fifty yd field goal tries without a capable kicker is just foolish and desperate. Imagine your team was inside the 15 THREE times and failed to put it in the endzone. This is how LSU fans feel about it and quite frankly, would just like to put this poor performance behind us

Ok one these Inside the twenties was a legit drive; the other was an int returned and the other started at the 25 in OT. Don't fool yourself into believing any offense had established itself. And if yardage gained isn't a measuring stick for success then getting inside the twenty and being unable to score a td shouldn't be considered success either.

Yeah well, bama is probably one of maybe three teams that COULD beat us in a one game setting. Although I really don't believe that could happen with AJ at qb, (Sims would scare me a little though if he could just manage to protect the ball for most of the game) but why on earth would we want to play bama again when yall would have nothing to lose. You guys have a great team, that much is certain. But you'd be playing a team you already lost to in a championship game you had no business being in. It's really only right that both teams EARN their right to play in the national championship game, which means beating someone other than auburn and ga state to get there.
Posted on 11/18/11 at 3:51 am to ezrulz
A 22 pt win over the number 6 team in the nation and a 3 pt loss to the number one team in te nation as compared to a big loss at home to an unranked team and a double digit loss to the same team we loss to would qualify us as having EARNED our way into the title game. I get not wanting to play us agan because the game was difficult but just because it is not the easiest path for LSU or the fact that yall beat us by three in OT does not disqualify us from being the second best team in the nation ASSUMING OK ST loses to OK. A loss as bad as TT at home should dq OK

One of your scores came off an int as well. And gaining more yards in a game is not the objective in game. You see, the thing that you want to do is, you want to score more points. That's how you win the game. Nick knows this, which is why he got greedy and kept sending the kicker(S) out when he should have been punting. Saying you guys got more yds is like a baseball manager saying 'we lost but we got more hits.' Like a dart player saying 'I lost but I got more bullseyes....' you get the picture. It's cool if it makes you feel better. But it doesn't mean much to us. Both defenses were great

I would have never believed that a UTk alum could have Bama's dick so far up his arse.
Posted on 11/18/11 at 4:03 am to ezrulz
Ch is why I said if gaining more yes is not an accurate measurement for success then neither is a single drive further down the field than us that didn't result in a td. I fully understand the measurement for success we obviously came up just short and on one of those makeable ones wide right

Your only basis is to compare yourselves to Oregon and Ok, which is an argument that will only get weaker as we go on. You discount Stanford as being a "horribly overrated" team when arky has ZERO run game and has beaten no one but a depleted SC team. How can you say arky is better than Stanford? And do you really mean to tell me that bama will be more deserving than an Ok team that just beat the number 2 team in the nation, simply because bama played LSU close at home with a completely stacked deck? A nov 5 loss carries more weight than a win over #2 on dec 3rd? A sept 3rd loss carries more weight than a dec conference championship win? How can anyone justify this without showing extreme bias? What will voters have to rely on to make them believe bama has also gotten better in December as these other teams apparently have?

The reality is that if we win out, arky drops to around 14 and bama's best win becomes a nov 5th loss. How the hell does that resume compare to ANY other conference champ?
