Ultimately I'm not sure it will matter, but theoretically, Alabama would be helped if AU were to beat UGA and boost its BCS ranking prior to the Iron Bowl.

Is this enough selfish motivation for Bama fans to pull for Auburn in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry?

Is this an impossible choice or are Bama fans just staying away for a couple of days until the backlash settles down?

I don't really care. We lost and I think we're looking at a possible Sugar Bowl at best now.

SEC fans don't want UGA to make the SECCG due to the fact UGA lost to BSU and now BSU is hanhing their hats on UGA doing well, winning the east, and possibly the SEC

I would think Bama would want us playing UGA in the SECCG and not USCE

Yes, and you have other one loss teams who still have good shots at playing for their conference title. Even if OSU & Stanford lose, you will have one loss teams like Oklahoma who would jump us due to playing the extra game.

Big 12 (10) doesn't have a title game this year due to attrition.

I think you're going to need some help to win this game. UGA is playing good ball right now. I'd be shocked if you win.

I know - the Boise thing is a pisser, but Richt finally figured some things out.

I think if they are the only undefeated left, give BSU their chance this year, let them get throttled and then we can summarily dismiss them from now on.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they are barely a top 10 team at best. However, I don't think it is fair to have rematch in a championship game and I am min favor of seeing BSU lose by 50 in a BCS game.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we won, but playing in Athens, I expect UGA to win but not cover. If it were in AU, I would call it even.

Ah yeah, true.......Still, I don't see us getting in with the fact we lost the the SEC, didn't make the SECCG, and didn't even win the west.

Wrong team but possible true statement with Oregon.
