Bigger Game: Alabama vs Florida 09 or LSU Bama 2011

Both #1 vs #2 matchups and big games. I think I'll go with the 09 Bama Florida game just because of the rematch factor. Bama was 12-0, one game away from a championship appearance in 08... just to watch Florida win it in the 4th and then the Utah game. The rematch in 09 was all or nothing, we win... we go to pasadena, we lose it's 08 all over again. I remember the Tebow lovefest and wanted to beat his team so bad.

The bigger game is the one that made the winner SEC champs the moment the clock struck zero and placed them in the national championship game.
this game is huge, but Bama still has MSU, AU, and (potentially) the East champion. LSU still has Arky and (potentially) the East champion.
The winner of this game still has work to do to be SEC Champs and be playing in the national championship game. The winner of the '09 game didn't.

09 game was the biggest game ive ever been to and probably will ever go to, and i went to Pasadena. Something about it was just electric like no other.

For Bama it was probably 09 because they had been in a rut for quite a while (at least in relation to Bama football history). This was their first really big game in a long while.
Now, they are what Alabama football is. They will see success like this game for a long time to come.

I'm not a bama fan, but I'd hope every answer for you guys would be 09. It was an SEC championship game and the winner is guaranteed in the BCS title. This is a regular season game.

Bama v. UF 2009.
Alabama really needed to win that game after the tough 2008 loss. To get within one game of the BCSCG two years in a row and lose it would have been tough to swallow.
This LSU game is huge, but it won't be quite as disappointing if Bama came up short.

I agree. It's like asking an LSU fan which championship game was bigger, 03 or 07. The 03 game put LSU on the map, just like the 09 SECCG put Bama back with the elite. This game will just be icing on the cake for both teams.

If this was the SEC Championship it would be bigger, but as it stands, 09 is bigger. More on the immediate line.

Bama UF easily. It was a literal playoff game for a national title spot and an SEC championship.

09 was bigger, but I feel like the national media hype is bigger for Nov. 5.

This 11/5 game, imho, is the biggest regular season game in my 46 years.
