Will it be the QB play?

I think it will be a huge factor, in that AJ has no big game experance compaired to JJ and JL. AJ got rattled aganst Vandy CNS was seen telling him to calm the frick down. If AJ was rattled in that game, how do you expect him to perform aganst LSU's pressure "D"?

I think the thing that's so intriguing about this matchup is whether we really know either team like we think we do. On paper, this should be a classic.

So, if you go evenly matched, turnovers are going to be the key. Otherwise, I'd say the matchup is a push, giving Bama a slight edge because it's in Tuscaloosa.

I'd say the same about ours too. Both teams need to stop/contain the run.

If I am not mistaken Saban was telling him to calm down because he was getting a little too animated after several big plays followed by a touch down. I really don't think AJ got rattled so to speak.

If Alabama can stop the run with 7 in the box it'll help the secondary so much. If they can't then LSU will hit big plays in the passing game. That's the game in my opinion.

OK.

I think AJ inexperance in the big game could be a factor thats all.

WEll I can't say I totally disagree with that one, Although, in last years AU game, he was called on when Mac went down. Not saying he lit them up, but it was experience to build upon.

Two things:

1. Bama's QB play. Mcfricknut or whatever is still a first year qb that has not faced a legit D all year. He is about to and we will see if he makes "rookie" mistakes.

2. LSU's runstopping. Will they be able to stop Trent and force Mcnugget to beat them?

I think the other side of the ball is more predictable. LSU will have some success running, but not a lot. LSU's playmakers will make a couple of big plays at some point in the passing game. LSU will put up about 17-21.

Bama : trent richardson.

LSU: Jarrett Lee and RR and OBjr.

Ware has to do enough to keep Bama from focusing on Lee.
If LSU cannot run some, Lee will get killed or fail and be taken out and in either case JJ will finish the game.

Trent has to do enough to keep Bama from NEEDing to pass.
If Bama needs to pass, they are fricked. INTs, sacks, all of it.
The best players on LSU are the DBs and the next best are the DE's. If Bama needs to attack the LSU DBs, Bama is going to lose.

IMO: The game will come down to whether Trent can make first downs when he has 3rd and 4 or 3rd and 3. If he can, Bama wins.

He did, but it was late in the third when the game was well in hand. He did get a lot of snaps last year but was in mop up duty.

And in the Iron Bowl, he held his own but the D let up in that one

Wing will be the difference in this game. JMO, but dude is a straight up beast mode and field position in this game will be critical.

Turnovers, LSU seems to have a way of getting turnovers, but I think Bama is very good at protecting the ball.

Special Teams, If it comes down to an even turnover differential, Field position will be crutial.

I can't wait to watch this game.
