Score by quarters

Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
Alabama 72 67 107 69 315
Opponents 30 3 14 8 55

Score by quarters
Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
LSU 54 99 83 78 314
Opponents 12 27 25 28 92

Doesn't look like alot of garbage time to me. Myth debunked.

3rd and 4th quarter have been garbage time this year for both LSU and Alabama

Not real good at logic, are you?

Neither team has had an opponent score a meaningful point against them in the 4th quarter. All 4th quarter points allowed by both teams are garbage time points.

Take out the 4th quarter points allowed for both teams...

Alabama 30 + 3 + 14 = 47
LSU 12 + 27 + 25 = 64

17 more (meaningful) points allowed is incredible considering you have faced only one offense in the top 50 in scoring, while we have faced two in the top 15. The only common opponent we've faced, Tennessee, scored 7 on us at Knoxville and 6 on Bama in Tuscaloosa.
