Its just the name you stupid fricks

We didn't change the name of the Iron Bowl when the game stopped being played in Birmingham either

Bama UT was always played on the 3rd Saturday in October. This was changed, I believe by Phil Fulmer, to the 4th Saturday so that UT could take a bye week ahead of the Bama game. Which they did, every year until this year.

UT had to move their bye week this year b/c the SEC passed a rule that no team will have to face any more than 3 teams coming off a bye in one season (after Alabama ended up getting scheduled to play 6 teams coming off a bye last year)

Nobody cares the game is played a week later, we just care about the game in general. Sorry you miserable fricks at LSU dont understand, why dont ya'll go get pumped up for your "rivalry" against Ole Miss

But we're ignoring this point because it doesn't support the premise which has been repeated fifteen trillion times in this thread alone, each with a little twist to make it "original" and "witty."

To wit, that the third Saturday in October was last week, and Alabama and Tennessee didn't play that day.

Again, the Iron and Steel Industry of Alabama is not exclusive to Jefferson County.
