Exactly. I'm not talking about going to A&M. Just the opposite. I'm just saying with as hard as A&M is becoming to get into, all the "Ag Tag" shite has got to come to an end or you will find yourself without a fan base. You can't continue to raise academic standards for acceptance and alienate those who don't/didn't go to A&M.

You can't take Texags so seriously sir. The majority of my Aggie friends have no idea what Texags is. For a message board it's pretty big, and surprisingly has a good amount of influence for an internet community, but I don't want you thinking Texags is representative of the A&M fan base ... especially not the Football forum, 'cause there's a lot of dumb crap and inside jokes that you don't see across our actual fan base.
That said, with A&M being in the SEC I can see a lot more of the "t-shirt fan" variety hopping on the bandwagon. A&M is going to have to learn to navigate that. A&M grads take a lot of pride in being an Aggie, and it means something to us. There are a lot of great Aggie fans out there that never attended A&M, and that's great in my opinion ... the more the merrier and thank you for your support.

I actually hate the AgTag stuff over at TexAgs and I can get one if I really wanted it. Too many people over there think it means their opinion is better than people without. However, its a pretty popular board so there are bound to be quite a few pricks that act that way.
IMO AgTags will do nothing but eventually hurt TexAgs.com in the long run b/c it creates divisions.
Somebody will come up with a better Aggie site that at some point. Its only a matter of time.
