Stories like these are hard to read when you have kids. Evan now has the best seat in the house. Sometimes we forget that this is just a game when clearly it really doesn't matter in the big picture.

I hate stories like that. Many props to the team doing so much for the young man.

As a father of a 5 and 7 year olds I can't imagine what his family is going through. Cancer is a terrible disease and one that absolutely terrifies me.

Prayers to his family.

Thanks for posting

War Eagle buddy. Good things should happen to families like that. I wish them the best.

My dad died of cancer at 50. It is a horrific thing.

it puts things into perspective... life is short, live each day to the fullest, love those that are around you like you do not have tomorrow, do not indulge in petty nonsense and you'll be a whole lot happier...

I read that earlier today, and for anyone that has kids, it really does put life in perspective.

Every so often on the SECr a thread comes along that puts 'things' in perpective. This definately fits into that category.

I also lost a child. My first son passed away in 08'. Nothing can ever hurt you as bad as losing a child. It changed my life and attitude forever and I am sorry for what this family is going through.
