It is unfortunate that Alabama and Auburn fans turn these kinds of threads into d### measuring contests. In Alabama`s defense, we don`t pretend to be an elite university academically. We do take exception with the long held view among Auburn people that they offer a vastly superior education though. Alabama fans have never taken themselves as seriously as Auburn fans in regards to academics. We typically only bring up academics when Auburn fans are constantly telling us our school is s### academically and that all the publications ranking Alabama even or just ahead of Auburn are full of s### and part of a REC conspiracy to somehow keep Auburn out of their rightful place at the top.
