Second, you might get tired of it, but the fact is that an engineering degree from Auburn is better than one from Alabama. No one said you degree wasn't solid - just that one from Auburn would be better. At least in the area I know personally about, if you are an Electrical Engineer trying to work in Huntsville (Redstone, NASA, Adtran, etc) or at a large place like AT&T, Verizon etc., you are better served with an AU degree than one from UA.

P.S. I have attended the University of Alabama as well as Auburn.

They are different campuses within the UA System. With regards to enigineering, the aerospace program is more geared towards Huntsville for obvious reasons. The Biomedical engineering program is more geared toward Birmingham for, again, obvious reasons. Otherwise these programs would be on UA's main campus.
