That's about what UGA is right now. Seems a little high for AU but maybe dem kids is just gettin smerter

I work with an Auburn guy who got an e-mail from the Auburn alumni association saying the average incoming ACT was a 27. That is impressive.

As for your assertion that the two schools (Bama and Auburn) have vastly different admission standards, I don't have the hard data you seem to have. All I know is that I had a few Auburn friends that were very marginal high school students (putting it kindly) that easily got into Auburn just as was the case with a couple of my Alabama friends that got into Alabama. In other words, the idea that Auburn is much more difficult to get into wasn't the case at all in the mid 90s when my friends and I got into both schools. I don't know where that myth comes from. Both schools have only gotten more selective since then though.

UF and UGA are clearly the 2 most difficult public SEC schools to get into.

UGA is a different case though, because they show a very strong preference for in state students. Texas is the same way. So while they may be hard to get into for a lot of people, for others it's quite easy to get into those schools.

Whoa now don't give UGA too much credence. The admission standards plummet if you go to a JUCO for one year and transfer in. If you don't want to do all of the application/essays, just wait a year and transfer.
