I am not here to predict a winner but getting back to the original post. Alabama has the advantage on teaching technique probably but I don't think their coaching staff get any advantage at all on other teams when both have extra time to prepare. Advantage on that one point goes to Ark!

i'm sure saban will have some blitzes that wilson has never seen. no doubt petrino will try to prepare him for everything, but the complexities is what gives them an advantage. wilson will have to guess what the D is doing and even the best qbs have trouble playing that guessing game.

to me experience will be the biggest factor in this game. last year bama had two true freshman on the field on D and a lack of leadership because no one could fill ro mcclain's shoes. this year they have zero freshman and more leadership from hightower and barron. the experience of bama's defense lets coaches make adjustments faster and more easily. making adjustments is crucial against petrino because you know he is gonna have a good game plan. as for arkansas, they are gonna need their OLine to draw on every bit of experience they have. its undoubtedly gonna be the biggest test for this young group of OL so far. they are gonna have to give Wilson a little time in the pocket and try to establish a run game to keep the pass rush honest.

its been the same story on arkansas for several years. elite skill players (especially offense) but not enough elite talent on the line.
