So he's not a better run blocker now, nor will he EVER be a better pass blocker than Sherrod, yet you don't think it's something worth worrying about.
Man, by the time the 7th or 8th game of the season rolls around and Carmon is more skilled than Sherrod at ONE aspect of the game, you'll be in awesome shape up front.

It's just the fact he doesn't have any experience at LT. I have seen pics and Carmon has dropped like 50lbs since he got to state.

good news since we are mostly a running team… no way carmon will be able to match sherrods pass protection though

A team can't do much at this level with a one dimensional offense unless they have a top 10 national defense....

I agree- but he can be a more than adequate pass-blocker- he just has to get in sync with the guard on specific protections
He's gonna blow some people up this season

I agree Spank- but nobody said he COULDNT pass-block, just that he wont be as good as the 1st round pick that played there last season

no one said he COULD pass block either.
fwiw....this thread is an exact contradiction to the one about MSU practicing like shite and Maye not performing as expected. Regarding coach speak and the like...

I'm pretty sure I didnt post in that thread...and this wasnt Mullen saying that about Carmon

My wife and I ate breakfast with Blaine Clausell's dad at the hotel we stayed in in Jacksnville the morning after the Gator Bowl. His dad said he is busting his arse to try and fill Sherrod's shoes and I hope he gets it. His dad was a top notch guy and if Blaine is anything like him he is good people.
