"Understand, Ole Miss doesn't sell out every game as it is. Capacity of Vaught-Hemingway is 60,580. Last year, Ole Miss averaged 55,898. The year before, it was 55,767. When completed, the expansion will boost stadium capacity over 70,000."
You build it and they will come, plus our school is growing alot and almost all of our fans have gone to school here.
We gain new fans every year when a non-fan comes to school here.
Most SEC schools don't have that.

Speaking of-I'll be at Ole Miss next fall. Right now I go to LSU, including most all of my family.
The renderings look great, btw. Which part of the project will be worked on first? I personally want the Vaught expanded first

From my understanding basketball will be built first. I've heard they want to have it done by 2014 or 2015. Football expansion is Phase II.

Phase 1: Arena and some stadium upgrades/renovations
Phase 2: NEZ Expansion and Gillom Center upgrades/renovations.
Phase 3: ??????
Phase 4: Profit.

Yeah, I think Ole Miss is just as big of a sleeping giant as LSU and Arkansas in basketball. Can Kennedy, build that facility and lock down the state and the rebs are an immediate contender

This new arena will definitely help him in recruiting for the future. It's hard to recruit to Ole Miss right now with the facility we have....minus the practice facility.

Yeah, no offense but I assumed. Even if I didn't assume, Al made it clear to everyone
I have just been twice for LSU games, and those bleachers are just awful. they got even shittier when Jefferswag spiked the ball

Yeah, it definitely caught my eye when i went over there post-completion. I have some good friends over there so I frequent Oxford, it's just a fun place.
One thing I had to tell my mom is that they've invested more than LSU in academics. I've been to all but three SEC campuses (State, Carolina and Kentucky) to watch LSU-Note, I went through fayetville for the college world series-and only Georgia compared to OM's campus.

And I feel it's only getting better with everything they are adding (Law School, Ole Miss Inn, new dorms, etc)

I feel ya, but people(Bundy, clongdog, etc...) are gonna try to jump all over you now for saying all of this truth...

Not gonna lie though, It's gonna be tough losing so much. I've been a state fair corndog since the beginning.

So are you transferring? Staying in a dorm or getting an apartment?

You will get used to it. You are fortunate/spoiled to have been at LSU lately. LSU fans from previous decades know what's up though. I guess we've had to find other stuff to concentrate on since we lose a lot, so you will have a good enough time...

Yeah man, I'll go apartment. I just recently switched to pharmacy, but if that doesn't work I'm just going to switch to business and take over my dad's company.

Maybe. Even when LSU football was in the dumps, baseball and basketball made State's grindin' blush.
Regardless, I understand there's much more important things then sports...and coming from someone who has a good bit of friends at both schools and experienced both schools, Ole Miss wins off the field. definitely.

Cool deal man. Got an idea on apartments? Don't do Sterling or whatever it is called now. I stayed there thinking I was getting a good price ($275/month/person for a 4 Bed 4 Bath) I got what I paid for. It was HORRIBLE!! There is another one off Old Taylor...somewhat new, that are really nice. Can't remember the name.
