I don't have a lot of LSU stuff in my house, but one thing I do want is an authentic helmet signed by all 3 coaches who have won an NC here. Dietzel lives in BR and Miles will be easy, but I'm curious how tough this will be for Saban. Is he amenable signing things? What about LSU stuff? I'll drive to Tuscaloosa if need be. Maybe while he's out for his coaches' radio show and they go to commercial?

I don't know if he would or not but that would be cool if he did.

I'm sure he would. Coaches ten to be more civilized. Or get the news and blindside him.

Doubt he would sign anything LSU in a public place until after he retires. Then, I doubt you will find him out in public.

The one time I've seen him out in public(at a restaurant), he was very approachable and friendly towards the fans.

Nobody asked him to sign an LSU football though. In fact, nobody asked him to sign anything, just regular pleasantries were exchanged.

best bet is to bring the helmet to church and have saban sign it in the parking lot.

He said during his last interview he hates going out to eat because people won't leave him alone.

Pretend the helmet is your baby, he'll sign it for sure then.

My plan right now is to bring it to him last, if he sees the other signatures he might get what I'm trying to do a little faster.

Fan day sounds like a terrible idea.

Yeah, he seemed a bit exasperated after a few minutes, but he was still cordial to everyone.

I left him alone.

Take it to fan day. I saw him sign a LSU football last year. It got a big smile out of him. The guy had it in a bag and pulled the football out when he got to the table. I think Saban likes that some of his past teams fans still want him to sign things. I'm sure most coaches hope fans of past teams still care a little. Just be respectful of the fans and they will be respectful back.

If you want him to sign get there early.

This really seems like something that would be important to Saban especially imo. He just seems like that kind of guy. He is big on respect.

That's a cool story. I guess I would need to get there REALLY early to get in his line?
