SEC Champion is 9-1 in bowls going back 10 years

Everyone knows the SEC has dominated the BCS Championship game for the last 5 years. So obviously the SEC Champ has won the last 5 bowl games. I looked a little deeper and was really impressed by what I saw.
2010 SEC Champ AU defeats UO BCSNC
2009 SEC Champ Bama defeats Texas BCSNC
2008 SEC Champ Fla defeats OU BCSNC
2007 SEC Champ LSU defeats OSU BCSNC
2006 SEC Champ Fla defeats OSU BCSNC
duh.
Go back another year though, and we have our loss.
2005 SEC Champ UGA loses to WVU in a thriller.
2004 SEC Champ AU Defeats Vtech
2003 SEC Champ LSU defeats OU BCSNC
2002 SEC Champ UGA defeats Fla St.
2001 SEC Champ LSU defeats Illinois
So the best team from the SEC has won a high profile, sometimes including the BCSNC game, bowl game for 9 of the last 10 years. Now that's dominance.

I remember that WVU/UGA game... UGA almost game back, and was actually a better team than WVU. Just got caught up in a landslide of momentum early on that was too much to overcome.

Yep. We outscored them 35-10 after the first quarter. I dont' think a single soul in that building thought we wouldn't win that game if DJ got the ball back for 1 final possession. But they fake punted and hung on by 3.

Interestingly, the loser of the SECCG could apparently care less about bowl game.
The loser has a 3-7 record in the last 10 bowl games.
