an intelligent guess would be that it's about LSU. easy to go from one Willie Lyles story to another. it's what's fresh in the media's minds. not Cam Newton.

Meh, the WIllie Lyles stuff doesn't bother me so far. Paying $6k to a (at the time) legitimate recruiting source, and having documentation of what was provided is not a big deal.

The point the host made was that if was another Willie Lyles piece, they likely would run with it right now b/c what's to say he doesn't go tell SI and ESPN the same story? Then Yahoo has nothing.

What he said in that Oregon radio interview about seeing a lot of things over the years at LSU and not being sure what he had or wanted to say on us will certainly get the investigative specialists over at Yahoo digging around and asking questions.
Yeah, that's why I said "so far". We'll see.

journalists make under the table deals with sources
