You know, if Fayetteville could snag about 1000 tech jobs down by the research park, this city would blow up in a big way. That's really all that is missing right now.

Mayor Coody was big on attracting those kinds of jobs. The Technology Park is really expanding quickly, so its really only a matter of time.

Unfortunately, the anti-growth people (the ones who simultaneously want parks, trails, and cheap houses so they can work in bars and own a home downtown) fight development like that tooth and nail.

I have actually considered making a move back to Texas for a few years, while retaining the property that I own here. I have a great job currently, but I am afraid my resume may get stagnant. I don't know. I am almost certain that Fayetteville is where I want to be for good, but lately I have been restless.

I'm still young at 26, but I am tired of being away from home. I was in the military for 5 years, and I have lived in Kansas City for 3 years. I have a buddy working for the man in Bentonville, and he is making over 75k two years out of college. There are some nice opportunities in the area, but that business park would be nice.
