Lets see, more battles and skirmishes during the Revolutionary War were recorded in SC than in any other state, we started the Civil War at Fort Sumter, Parris Island trains any Marine East of the MS River and all female Marines (if I'm not mistaken) Fort Jackson right here in Columbia is one of the largest basic training facilities in the US, and is why Columbia has as many interstates as the much larger Atlanta. The Doolittle Raiders who bombed Tokyo post-Pearl Harbor trained in SC. If I had to choose I think I'd chose something that goes along those historical lines.

We did have a former minor league team known as the Capital City Bombers so maybe we could take that name.
