Sorry, Didnt mean to go off on you but I have a friend that just lost everything in a fire and the insurance comapny just doesnt write you a check and hand it over, you must give them a list of every item you lost and its value and if you bought a pair of jeans for $25.00 you dont get $25.00....the will pro-rate its value. This was eye opening for me because I thought if you were insured for $40,000 on content of your home that is what they would give you but that is not the case.
