it's obvious that Pike has seen video of both Kiehl Frazier and Brandon Allen and feels he has a better chance to start over Frazier.

Sooo by my math......

Brandon Allen > Pike > Frazier

Five star QB Zeke Pike commits to Auburn!

Why would a prototype pro-style QB go to Auburn to run a spread option offense? Surely he realizes he would be better prepared for the NFL by learning a pro-style offense for instance at Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and now Florida under Weis. I just don't get it.

should be Auburn

Auburn Rivals writer Justin Hokanson is there and they usually don't send a writer unless they know he's picking us

Why?

Has he got the check?

He said in his interview, he doesn't care what people say Malzahn is going to produce great QBs that go to the NFL. and that Cam isn't going out of the top 5.

No. Trotter would be the likely starter for 2012 with Frazier just behind him. Moseley has a slim chance.

Unless there is some attrition, Pike would almost certainly redshirt his freshman year. He is an incredible athlete, but he is a bit raw at QB. I believe he played TE his freshman year in high school, so he only has 2 years at QB.

so Pike will start after Frazier leaves in 3-4 years? That's a long wait.

Pike has the athletic potential to take the starting job from Frazier before he leaves. Frazier will have an extra year of experience plus a head start with Malzahn's offense, but Pike is considered a better recruit.

hard to say. Its going to be an incredible battle between him and Kiehl Frazier. Both of them have the potential and ability to be all-SEC and possibly All-American QB's but we will see.

Cam is likely the exception rather than the rule. In other words Cam will go first round main due to his potential/athletic ability in spite of his poor preparation to run a pro-style offense. Pike doesn't have that same athletic ability and he would be better advised to learn a pro-style offense in college.
