Does this even matter? They're all his mortgages.
Yes it matters.
Jeff Lee said Peach's took money to pay off his mortgage before the silly bastard even knew the man had rental property. He intimated that Peaches took money to pay off his home and in return would make sure BC would sign with Alabama.
Now you are not only making the same claim, you are repeating as fact what SBB has said with out any proof.
I know you have no idea what this means to you personally, but you are just as as guilty of spreading those falsehoods as Jeff lee and SBB.
I will make sure that the screen capture of your posts get into the proper hands... I wonder if TigerDroppings will have any issues due to your behavior?

Actually only Aubs care. The entire fanbase of college football would like to see AU smoked. Whereas maybe UT & AU want Bama ensnared. When we lose in state big time athletes to the Gumps I can somewhat rationalize the thought process; However, our blue chip LA players committing to AU made no sense at all.
I hope any team caught cheating gets burnt including LSU but your team has taken it to the next level.

Not really. Woodruff knew the family before Calloway was a star on the football field. He has a preexisting relationship and therefore can give Winston as much money as he would like. Plus, you can't prove these cash payments - if they even happened - were made to get Calloway to Alabama. Winston and Woodruff have been good friends for years.
that's just wrong... you can't give money to influence a decision, no matter how long you've known someone. It would be up to the NCAA to determine if the money was paid to get Calloway to Alabama.
If that were the case, every highly recruited high school kid would have everyone in town giving him money/gifts/etc to influence their decision.

All these Bama fans hanging their hat on a "preexisting relationship" is crazy. Nobody knows how the NCAA will look at it. It's all wishful thinking at this point.

Here's the problem with this SBB article:
1. It fails to mention the fact that "Peaches" Winston owns 5 other houses, that's excluding the one his family lives in.
2. Winston rents out those houses and constantly has to reinvest in them to improve his capital. Hence the mortgages.
3. The year that mortgage was first taken out, as per the document, was in 2000 - 11 years ago. Winston claims the house his family lives in was paid off 15 years ago. So, one could deduce that this mortgage was for one of his rental homes. Therefore he did not lie.
4. SBB also fails to remember the words of Jeff Lee. Lee claims all of this stuff with the mortgages and cash payments went down just before Signing Day. This mortgage payment happened in September 2009 - a year and a half BEFORE Lee's conspiracy theory is supposed to have taken place

If Woodruff has given money or whatever to peaches in the past, then it's no big deal.... but if around the time Calloway commits DW gives peaches some money, then that's shady as hell.

none of that shite matters.... for this thing to go anywhere someone actually has to prove Winston received money from Woodruff.... at that point, it would be in the hands of the NCAA.

It's cool bro, continue your smear campaign of UA while deflecting any and all threads started about AU.
Keep up the awesome work of posting lame threads trying quote Brooks...which by the way, just a few weeks ago all you Aubs were wanting to hang him because he said something about you, and now you take him for the truth?
Haha, what a crazy world you must live in

Winston has probably received a lot of money from Woodruff and vice versa. The two have been best friends for 20 years.

Also, from 247 sports:
quote:
I used to run titles for a living. It is not at all uncommon for banks to neglect to release mortgages that are paid off, sometimes for years, especially when it is just a raw payoff, as opposed to a refinance. In the latter case, the new mortgagee sees to it that the old mortgage is released; in the former, the borrower just assumes the bank will release the mortgage, but the responsibility for actually doing that usually falls to the lowest clerk or secretary in the bank.
In other words, the date the debt is paid in full and the date the bank signs the release is sometimes separated by many years. In one case I handled the bank had failed many years back and we had a devil of a time clearing the title.
