Year of the quarterback? Really, ESPN? When's the last time that we haven't had a quarterback that every team thinks is worth taking in the top 5? Blaine Gabbert as the potential top pick? I'm not buying in.
This is, in no way, the year of the quarterback.
What does the rant think?

well, i guess we should look at previous drafts and see how it stacks up.

I agree. All I read about is how all of the top quarterbacks are flawed/unpolished in some way or another.
If Andrew Luck had declared or if Jake Locker didn't suck his senior season, then maybe this would be a QB heavy year. Neither of those happened though, so I would say ESPN is stretching there...
ETA: for clarification, i'm agreeing with OP not ESPN.

It's not the draft theme
It has been ESPN's football theme all year
they've called everything this year "The Year of the Quarterback"
ETA am I really the only one that watches ESPN on the reg?

This year has the worst crop of quarterbacks since the year with Jamarcus Russell and Brady Quinn.
