Do you think it is a mistake to play that two game series with USM beginning in 2014? From a business & recruiting standpoint, I mean.

No- we are the SEC...they will still be USM regardless of the outcome.
Business-wise, it will be 2 guaranteed sell-outs

I don't see anything to be gained by playing USM

I just depends on the financial negotiations, IMHO.
Nothing wrong with playing them at home......but they better split the tickets at least 60/40 if playing them in the Burg.
or a 2 for 1 deal...

I don't see anything to be gained by playing Fresno State. It costs a ton more for travel and you won't get much from their home gate this season.

We're trying to recruit CA Jucos hard. Can't remember(read: to hungover to remember) which one but one of our coaches is responsible for recruiting California Jucos.

You're asking why we scheduled one game at home against BYU?
Come on Bundy.....you're reaching to prove me incorrect without even researching.
ETA: and by now you, of all people, should know that I can never be proven wrong on here.

b/c they were playing boise this year but ESPN, Chic fil a, and so on decided that a boise state @ ole miss game is all cool and all but that the money would be made if they convinced boise and uga to duke it out on primetime tv in the GA Dome. ESPN, i wanna say, paid the money for boise to cancel with Ole Miss, i know they paid for UGA to cancel the Louisville series, and then i think they helped arrange UNC vs Louisville and BYU vs Ole Miss

Its one game at home verse BYU who is a very formidable opponent.

And State get the 60% correct. They would never sell anywhere close to 60% of their tickets even if Jesus Christ himself was going to be at the game

i agree, Ole Miss was gonna play boise and then they switched to BYU. i mean it really is a decent opener. plus the fall out from losing to a BYU is less than a Jax St. sorry couldn't resist

1.Because it is a one and done in Oxford
2.Because they have more national relevance than USM
3.Because they don't hate us with a passion and wouldn't play their hearts out against us.
