How exactly? He makes a pretty valid point. Lee is hedging because he knows that what he said was likely 90% hearsay from some jackass on the Bunker and he doesn't want to get sued if it turns out to be bogus.

OK, lets try this... see if you get it.. Remember Lee did not name the supporter either... Now see if you see a problem with Brooks logic...
So while it may seem a little ridiculous that I’m not naming the alleged “supporter”, athlete and school in question, it’s equally ridiculous for Lee to refuse to acknowledge the alleged benefactor for what he obviously is: A booster.
So why is Lee doing that?
The AuburnSports.com reporter knows the absolutely critical distinction between a “booster” and “supporter” because if the NCAA classifies the benefactor as a “booster,” Alabama could face significantly harsher NCAA sanctions if what Lee claims about the situation is true.

That, or he's avoiding the term "booster" so that when the NCAA does absolutely nothing he can claim it's because this guy's status provided a loophole.
