LSU's been better for the last 10 years while Alabama's been better for the last 100+ years. And even in those "years of dominance", Alabama has more undefeated seasons than LSU and Florida has had in the last 50 years.
How long have you been alive? How many of those games have you attended? How is it important or even relevant now? LSU and UF have 2 BCS Championships - ones that were decided AFTER all of the bowl games unlike in years past - so more like a play-off

before Saban arrived playing bama was like visiting an old folks home, depends and smell included.. personally, I glad saban bought life back to your program, makes going to games worth a damn now..

Of course you could point out that since Bear retired LSU has more SEC championships and more National Championships than Bama even in just football. (That would be for a period longer than the lifetimes of many of the posters on this board.)

2 is not greater than 2. Where did you learn how to count?
Since Bear Bryant died, Alabama has 2 undefeated national championship seasons. LSU has 0 undefeated national championship seasons in that same time frame.

In recent years, which is all that really matters, LSU has been the better program than Bama. Michigan owns the head to head all time with Ohio State but who is the better football program in that rivalry? Army was good along time ago too...that far back in the past doesn't mean much of anything today.

be careful with that word "Program" LSU will NEVER have a better program than Bama's.. EVER. You've had a nice little run thanks to Saban so don't get it twisted.. you backed into 2 nat'l championships... that's not a PROGRAM dude. WTF are you talking about?

Oops. I miscounted. So we're even on NCs, but LSU still has more SEC championships in that period.
BTW, both schools have had top 25 poll finishes 17 times after 1982. Bama has finished in the top 10 a total of 9 times, while LSU has 8 top 10 finishes during that time.
Not much basis for have an inferiority complex.
