They uncovered some violations with Mooney of Richmond.

They are apparently just not interested in Gregg Marshall, as the will be the third time they've passed on him.

Donnie Jones is still in the mix as well.

I've been a Dayton Flyer season ticket holder for 20 years. Gregory is a phenomenal recruiter. We get a top 5 player out of Michigan every year. Problem is, he is a terrible, terrible x's and o's coach. The Dayton faithful has been calling for him to go despite his decent success. There is a petition going around the internet to fire Brian Gregory. This would be a horrendous hire and I cannot say that enough

Yeah. They were pretty set on him apparently, the search committee watched his game on Friday in San Antonio, but apparently his staff committed a major violation in 2007.

Shaka was interested in the job a week or so ago, but he believes he has raised his stock enough to get a better job. The NCAA has scared off multiple candidates as well. According to VolQuest.

All well as pending NCAA sanctions. As a coach you would have to go in knowing that your first few years might suck. If so, it becomes a complete rebuild after that. Would the admin be willing to wait? Would the fanbase? How would your career respond to a firing? etc.

There are multiple reports now that UT has it's guy. Lawrence Frank and Brian Gregory are the two names being thrown around.
