He showed up for a recruiting trip to UK in Jean Shorts....
The owner of Kentucky Sports Radio and CBS Sportswriter, Matt Jones nicknamed him Jorts and it has stuck every since.
He is known to wear jean shorts around campus when it is warm in Lexington...he is really country...hell, his old man is sporting a camo UK hat these days.

Not really. He is a wanker, though.
eta: I don't mean it in a derogatory way. He's a nice guy and probably my favorite player, but he's NOT country in any way and I'm not sure why people keep perpetuating this. Every time I've seen him out or on campus he's wearing long Sean John style jean shorts or baggy jeans and some Ed Hardy type T-shirt.
