I posted that earlier and what I meant was this team needs a dominate player like Stromile to have an impact on this team. But I would venture to say that in three years we could have brought in someone with close to that type of talent. Even a Jabari Smith wouuld be nice, he wasn't from La., since the La. theme seems to be the latest excuse for TJ.. There is a long list of kids that were national 3,4, and 5 star players that the previous guy brought in, some worked out some didn't. Last time I checked there are many other states with high school bb.. For a million five you would think TJ could get one guy in three years and ten months.

Outside of Jabari how many of those players aren't from LA, TX, or MS?

Even a Jabari Smith

Another 1st round NBA pick. I'm not saying that we can't get a great player, but in the last two years Louisiana has produced zero 5 stars, and one 4 star. Trent signed that one 4 star (Derenbecher) and today somebody called him overrated.

It is quite possible that freshmen and sophomores will improve in the 2nd and 3rd season as a college player. LSU is loaded with young players, we have a big man transfer on campus already, and I hear we have a big time high school player signed for next year. That sounds like next year's team will be much improved. If it's not, then I'll listen to some arguments to fire Trent Johnson. But as of now, I think Trent is playing with the hand that Louisiana and the surrounding states have dealt.

I really don't think that there is a good coach out there that looks at LSU as a great place if we are going to fire our SEC Championship winning coach after a rough stretch in which we were forced to play with young players. Trent's plan is to build a program with players that are going to stick around for 3-4 years, and then we will win with experience. Give him a chance.
