Belmont hits a solo HR in the top of the first but now State has the bases loaded and no outs.

Darryl Norris RBI single followed by CT Bradford's 2 RBI single gives Mississippi State a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first, still nobody out and Lamar has changed pitchers.

Lamar won the Southland last year and made it to a regional, they aren't as bad as say Alcorn State and Delaware State.

Pitching and defense.. This is what wins baseball games.

If both are solid for us this year we should have a good season or atleast MUCH improved from the past 3.

I hope Cohen can turn the corner this year. The two freshman we have Norris and Bradford are big time.

I'll be satisfied if we can just make the SEC Tourney and a Regional.

MSU baseball in the postseason has been missing for too long.

Im glad things started like they did this weekend and I am really excited about this season. Our freshman class may be the most talented group we have ever brought in.

CT Bradford, Darryl Norris, Hunter Renfroe, Taylor Stark, DeMarcus Henderson, Evan Mitchell, etc... all were impressive in their first games as Diamond Dawgs.
