Are The Toomer's Corner Trees a Metaphor for Auburn's National Championship?

As of right now, Auburn is still credited with winning the 2010 national title. Also, as of right now, the trees at Toomer's Corner are still alive. Thing is, we know the trees' days are numbered and they will soon be dead. Will the title similarly be gone in just a matter of time?

Which loss would hurt more?

Only if the REC conspired with Updyke to kill our trees like they've conspired with the NCAA/FBI to ruin our moment of glory.

They should use the wood from the trees to make the trophy packing crates.

When the trees are finally dead, they should take up a collection to transplant some bigger, more health looking live oaks. (This will cost BIG $$$, but can be done). Sorry to say, those Toomer trees were already in bad shape (one in particular), and not too impressive. A despciable act may actually proove benficial to Auburn in the long run.

Here's a company that can do it:

For Environmental Design, no tree is too large to transplant. We have successfully moved the largest trees ever transplanted. Environmental Design pioneered the roundball method of giant tree transplanting to preserve living history.

I don't think that will work if they TP transplanted trees.

Suffocate fragile trees?

Then again they won't have many victories this year.

They're already looking into stuff like that. LINK
It was pretty apparent from the beginning that Auburn would pull out all the stops to replace them, which is why I didn't see the point in flipping shite yesterday.
