LSU made their first CWS appearance in 1986. Thats a whole 6 years before we joined the SEC. To Alabama's credit, they did go to 2 CWS before the SEC Expansion in 1992.
I am an SEC fan, but the SEC did not become a legit baseball power until LSU won its first naty title in the early 90's.

This shows how little you know about college baseball. The great MSU baseball teams of the 1980s led by Will Clark and Rafael Palmerio tgat won 50 games 3 seasons in the 80s were the forerunners for the growth of baseball in the SEC. Other Schools like LSU and Bama saw what we had in Starkville and decided to put money into their baseball programs. Ever since all other baseball programs in the SEC have followed suit.
