I think that Nutt has tightened up his discipline and that should help with player retention.

Serious question, why has State been able to retain so many of their signees between 2008-2010?

Discipline, as far as I can tell. I think your observation is correct. From what my sources tell me, Nutt's not fricking around anymore. He used to not give a damn about weed, skipping class, etc., so long as they won games. But, after this past season, he's doing what he can to get his players to straighten the frick up.

That's one reason he was happy to let Grandy go. Dude failed a bunch of drug tests and was scraping by academically.

Most are 2* players that are just "happy to there."
