Define ???
Fans that aren't graduates, e.g. never went in the classroom, only walked on the sidewalks.

Nerdy bella is being driven insane by the fact that you should have used the word fewest instead of least.
I apologize for my grammar quirk.

I agree. The whole "sidewalk fan" argument is just something the barn fans come up with to help them feel better about not having as many fans as The University.
huh? it was an LSU fan that started this thread. granted I know fans of all fanbases argue that they don't have them, but you really have to use AU as the example in your post?

Are we going by total number of sidewalk fans or percentage of the total fanbase? Because if it's the latter, I would argue that Vanderbilt actually has a pretty significant amount. Keep in mind how tiny our enrollment is compared to all of the other SEC schools - less than 6,900 undergrads. So there aren't that many Vandy grads out there, and many of them could not care less about athletics. And Vandy has a lot more sidewalk fans in Nashville than you think. Of the 13,000 fans at any given men's basketball game, I would estimate the percentage of sidewalk fans to be about 70%.

I think UAB truly has the least amount. I mean, even the fans have to be bribed to take tickets to go to a game.

How exactly did Auburn start the sidewalk fan phenomenon or even this thread?
FWIW, I'm a huge fan of Auburn University and if I had the financial means I'd donate money to the school every year (if I'm ever able to, I plan on doing this).

This is my point. I know not one Vandy grad friend who is JUST for Vanderbilt.

When I get rich, I'm gonna buy an Auburn urinal.

FTW. UAB is my alma mater and I've never once attended an athletic event. I've watched one football game (the year they made it to that bowl game in Hawaii).

I was shocked last year when I went to the North Carolina - UAB NIT game and people were scalping tickets for a UAB sporting event.

I went to a UAB/So Miss game a few yrs back. Boring as all get out. I left with about 7 min to go, and in that time..there was a kick return for a TD, a blocked punt for a TD and some other score. I was pissed I missed the only exciting parts of the game.

clever
i have always maintained we could hit the bowl if we had a target in the bottom. as it is now, we just try ti hit everything at 1 time LOL.

Was it basketball or football? Basketball I can understand, we actually have a decent b-ball team most years
You couldn't pay me to go to a UAB football game though. Legend Field scares me honestly. Although, did you read in the paper where UAB is going to build an on-campus stadium? If they actually go through with that I might be tempted to use my free alumni season tickets I have
