I'm not going to judge Auburn for doing what they do, but I will make a comment re: religion. With any group of "disciples", there's usually one who will betray. The "family" will split. When it does, it's best to make sure the house is clean.

Yeah, that's sickening. What kind of person would lead a prayer?

The only reason that this is sickening is because now Auburn will try to say that they invented prayer and they were the first to do it. Coach Bobby Bowden said in an interview that he told parents when recruiting that he took the players to church at least twice a month, and asked them if they had a problem with that. He let the parents decide the religion aspect for their kids, and I doubt Trouper Taylor gives them that option. I think that coaches should do what they were trained to do and not dip into other areas. Prayer and religion should be considered a private thing, and not to be done just for show. How can Auburn have so much religion when they allowed someone like Cam Newton's family to do what they did,and allow players to try to physically cripple someone for life by their dirty play. A good and religious person is known by their actions and not their words. I believe that Coach Chizik is sincere in his religious beliefs, but Taylor not so much.

That is absolutely what you are doing because you are directly saying he is using Christian prayer as a manipulative tool rather than as a matter of faith.

You are one judgemental prick and Scripture says you are goin' ta Hayul.

What exactly did Auburn University allow Cecil Newton to do?

Matthew 6:5-6

quote:

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

You are absolutely correct we have hired Wayne Atcheson to be our new Senior SID to make that happen. He also has been hired to find us some more NC's to claim. You know why fight greatness when you can hire a guy to rewrite history. Props to bama for thinking of it first on the NC's though.

I really think Auburn getting the we prayed first label is going to keep us at top for years to come in recruiting.

You said this first so therefore there must be no scripture for you to use in an argument. Sorry you can't have it both ways.

I must have somehow missed how TT did this with the recruits at Toomers Corner with the cameras turned on.

So now you have to know someone a certain period of time and spend a certain amount of time together before you can pray together?

How many times have you gotten together with a bunch of random people and prayed at the office?

Judging his motives based on his actions. NOT judging his faith. People with legit faith can make mistakes too.

Yeah, both of those verses are pretty clear, IMO.

Ezekiel 25:17

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.
