Arkansas actually beat SC in regulation?

According to our local news and the end of regulation score on ESPN, we had a free throw make that was not credited to us. They have the final score at end of regulation 71-70 Arkansas. What will happen?
Not joking.

You'll still lose and be swept by LSU... enjoy.

Was this game not on TV? If it was, how did no one notice it?

Yes, yes we will. Arky sucks.

SC actually had the ball for the last 30 seconds of the game. There's no way this is true.

They said it happened early in the game when Delvon Johnson made the first free throw and missed the 2nd. His first make gave us 28 points but the left it at 27. Look at the play-by-play I posted.
Good find woopig!

My only guess is that the 1st free throw we're watching on that news reel was recorded during the promo break and was then shown again on the actual tv broadcast.
Besides who knows what would've happened. Each team would have played the last minute differently if Arky was up 71-70 rather than a 70-70 tie.

Won't this assist in the possible removal of your ginger head coach? We could be doing you a favor?

I see something unusual in the "play by play" listing on ESPN.com.
Back with 4:57 left in the first half it shows that Marshawn Powell made both free throws. However, it has a blank space underneath it at 4:58. This space is usually filled with a "defensive rebound by so and so". Could he have actually missed that free throw and the defensive rebound wasn't listed by ESPN.com? I didn't watch the game. The youtube clip comes after the play I am talking about.

He will never leave. He is like Joe Paterno, except he sucks.

My problem with this is that each school has an official scorekeeper at the scorer's table keeping tabs on everything with a scorer's notebook. The official score comes from those two notebooks, and the scoreboard (and tv graphic) is to reflect that.
If the tv scoreboard is wrong, that means that the real-life scoreboard is wrong, and that would mean that both scorekeepers are wrong.

It was corrected. On Arky's next 2 point bucket they were credited with 3 points.
